Weighted Lap Blankets ~ Hand-made by stitches4autism, our blankets are used in the treatment of Autism/PDD, ADHD and Asperger's therapy. They provide a calming, relaxing deep-pressure input which helps the child to focus and stay on task for longer periods of time.

This lap blankets is 21" long by 17 deep" and feature four pockets which will hold two snack sized ziploc each. The blanket features a velcro opening. We are not including the weights and/or weight bags that fit into the sewed in pockets. For our child we use plastic zip lock baggies. We use either rice, beans, stones or anything to achieve the weight needed.

Please contact your OT for the desired amount of weight and time to wear the blanket. They are perfect for TV watching time or just snuggling! We want these much needed blankets to be affordable to all.

We are using a 100% fleece non-allergenic cotton material on one side and a 100% cotton fabric on the other side ~ they are soft and warm. This lap blanket shown is a beautiful rainbow of brilliant colors with a blue backing. WE HAVE OTHER COLORS AND PATTERNS TO CHOOSE FROM (shown in photo). We can also personalize it for your child with their name in felt lettering for 25c per letter.
